Let’s jump right into this post:

  • Step one: identify the ingredients you need for the life you lead

Sounds a bit existential for a pantry blog post, doesn’t it? But bare with me… Before you empty the contents of your pantry, asking yourself ‘does this jar of Nutella bring me joy?’ (thank-you Marie Kondo, but the answer is YES!) stop! Take a step back and ask yourself honestly, what are the ingredients you need for the life you live? If your hubby’s an amateur bodybuilder, protein powder will be on your list. If your a passionate foodie, your minimalist pantry will have some unique ingredients.

Tprepare healthy, nutritious food for your family? Whilst we are being honest with ourselves, make sure to include as many ‘sometimes’ foods in your list too.

Here’s what works for my family:

nuts: almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamias, pistachios, walnuts

seeds: chia, hemp, pepita, sesame, sunflower
